Where Faith Meets Education

Heart of a Child at Harmony is a Christ-centered elementary school serving families in the Harmony community of St. Cloud, Florida. We believe every child is uniquely created with purpose, and we are committed to helping students grow both academically and spiritually in a nurturing, faith-filled environment.

Through strong academics, caring teachers, and biblical values woven throughout the school day, children are encouraged to build confidence, develop character, and discover a lifelong love of learning. Everything we do is guided by a simple mission: educating hearts and minds while sharing the love of Jesus.

About us

Excellence in the classroom, rooted in the love of Christ.

In 2011, founder Ivette Mendez answered a calling God placed on her heart to invest in the lives of children. What began in a humble garage with a few students and a great deal of faith has grown into three thriving schools serving families throughout Central Florida.

Heart of a Child at Harmony is our first Christian elementary school, continuing that same mission in the Harmony community of St. Cloud. We believe every child is created with purpose, and we’re honored to partner with families as they build a strong foundation for the future.

our founders

We are here to serve. We are here to love. We are here to “see to the children” just as God instructed from the very beginning.

ACADEMICS

Programs Designed for Every Stage

Pre-K

Joyful, play-based learning focused on phonics readiness, number concepts, language development, and simple Bible lessons. During these important early years, children begin building the skills and confidence they'll carry with them into kindergarten and beyond.

Kindergarten – Grade 2

Many of our Kindergarten students are reading by early December. Using the Abeka curriculum, we help children build strong skills in phonics, math, writing, science, and Bible while learning in small classrooms where they are known, supported, and encouraged every day.

Grades 3–5

Upper elementary students continue to grow academically through advanced math, science, composition, American history, and biblical studies. Our goal is to help them become confident learners who are prepared for the opportunities and challenges ahead.

A Day at Heart of a Child at Harmony

Chapel & Prayer

Every morning begins at 8:30 AM with chapel, devotion, and prayer — setting a tone of faith, gratitude, and purpose for the entire school day.

Lunch & Fellowship

A hot, nutritious lunch is provided daily. Mealtimes are moments for friendship, laughter, and community — an important part of our school family culture.

Extracurriculars

Gymnastics, soccer, basketball, and painting give every child the chance to discover and develop their God-given talents outside the classroom.

Core Academics

Using the Abeka Curriculum, mornings are focused on reading, writing, math, and Bible — taught by passionate teachers who know every student personally.

Special Programs

From STEAM projects to Home Economics, Carpentry, and Financial Literacy — our special programs give students real-world skills and hands-on experiences.

After Care

The school day may end, but our ministry doesn't. After Care offers homework help, enrichment, outdoor play, and Bible-based character activities in a warm, supervised setting until 6:00 PM.
