At Heart of a Child at Harmony, we believe education is about more than academics. We come alongside families to help children discover their God-given gifts, build strong character, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Through hands-on experiences, caring teachers, and a Christ-centered foundation, students are encouraged to grow with confidence and purpose.
Our small class sizes allow teachers to truly know each child, providing the support, encouragement, and individualized attention they need to thrive. Every student is challenged academically while being nurtured in a safe and welcoming environment.
Faith is woven into every part of the school day, from Bible lessons and prayer to chapel and everyday conversations. It’s not something we add to education. It’s the foundation on which everything else is built.
Our Founder
Heart of a Child began with a calling. In 2011, founder Ivette Mendez felt God leading her to invest in the lives of children and families. With a handful of students, a few learning materials, and a lot of faith, she opened her first classroom in a garage.
What started as a small step of faith has grown into three thriving schools serving families across Central Florida, including Heart of a Child at Harmony. While much has changed over the years, the mission remains the same: to provide children with a strong educational foundation in a Christ-centered environment where they are known, valued, and encouraged to reach their God-given potential.
Every child who walks through our doors is a reminder of why this journey began, and we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with families in shaping the next generation.
