Faith & Mission

Is this a Christian school?

Yes. Heart of a Child at Harmony is a Christ-centered school where faith is woven into every subject, every interaction, and every part of the school day. We believe the Holy Bible is our foundation for success and that every child is God’s beloved — worthy of being loved, nurtured, and reminded daily of their identity in Christ.

Faith is not a separate subject here — it is the foundation of everything we do. Students participate in:

  • Daily prayer and devotion
  • Chapel every morning at 8:30 AM
  • Bible lessons integrated into academics
  • Scripture memorization
  • Bible-based character-building activities throughout the day

Yes. Students participate in chapel and devotion every morning at 8:30 AM. This is a special time for the school community to come together in worship, prayer, and spiritual growth before the academic day begins.

Our core values are guided by L.I.F.E.:

  • L — Loving: A family environment where every child feels safe, welcomed, and genuinely cared for
  • I — Intellectual: A challenging curriculum that builds cognitive skills, curiosity, and academic confidence
  • F — Friendly: A place where children, families, and staff build lasting relationships rooted in faith
  • E — Excellent Attitude: The highest standard of care guided by Godly principles

We welcome all families. While our school is rooted in the Christian faith and all students participate in our faith-based curriculum and activities, we believe every child deserves to experience love, excellence, and community. We encourage families to review our faith philosophy before enrolling to ensure it aligns with their values.

Academics & Curriculum

What grades do you serve?

We serve children from Pre-K (age 3) through 5th Grade. Contact us at (407) 752-5331 for current grade availability as spaces are limited.

Our Pre-K and VPK students use the Frogstreet / Lilypad Curriculum, which is designed for early childhood development through play-based, developmentally appropriate learning. Our elementary students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade use the Abeka Curriculum — a proven, academically rigorous, Christ-centered program used by thousands of Christian schools nationwide.

We believe in teaching the whole child — heart, mind, and spirit. Our focus is to ensure a Christian foundation is woven through every subject at every grade level. Children gain knowledge, understanding, and wisdom through God’s word within small classroom sizes that build character, confidence, and leadership skills that reflect Christ. We believe learning happens best in an environment built on trust, love, and purpose.

We maintain intentionally small class sizes to ensure every child receives individualized attention and builds a strong relationship with their teacher. Our small classroom environment is one of the things families love most about Heart of a Child at Harmony.

Beyond our core curriculum, we offer a variety of special programs designed to build real-world skills and creative expression:

  • STEAM — Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math
  • Home Economics — Basic home skills including cooking and organizing
  • Carpentry — Basic tool usage and building skills
  • Financial Literacy — The basics of money management and budgeting

We believe every child has God-given talents waiting to be discovered. Our current extracurricular offerings include:

  • Gymnastics
  • Soccer
  • Basketball
  • Painting

We use positive guidance and Christian-based discipline that focuses on respect, responsibility, and restoration. Our goal is never simply to correct behavior — it is to build character and help each child understand their choices in the context of their identity in Christ.
